Who was he?

Linus is a Finnist-Amarican software who helped develop the Linux Kernel and made the code distrubutation program GIT.

What did he make?

In 1991, Linus's friend took him to Richard Stallman's speech. He would use the GNU General Public License version 2 for the Linux kernel. From 1997 to 1999, he was involved in 86open helping to choose the standard binary format for Linux and Unix. His personal mascot is a penguin nicknamed Tux, which has been widely adopted by the Linux community as the mascot of the Linux kernel.
